I’m remaking History Lessons (with Auto Tune)

I know a lot of you have been following some of my latest releases and some of them have sucked. History Lessons was a complete wreck of an album and I’ve been wanting to correct that mistake for over two years. The album was rushed as I was travelling back and forth from Indonesia to see my then-girlfriend.

I have recently discovered autotune which I am just playing around with at the moment. I’m not going to rush the album again, I’m going to rewrite a lot of it and use royalty-free beats as backing to save time. Constructing sound is harder than simply singing and it will probably be better sounding anyway.

I’ve already redesigned an old cover for this albums cover image. It looks great.

I’ve also been busy looking for another distributor as the last one, RouteNote, was exhausting. They removed my album The Complete Collection without any notice. They had me jumping through hoops every week just to keep my music in online stores. I’ve lost so much revenue because of their incompetence and after two years of being with them I’ve decided to remove my entire catalogue from their website and I am in the process of uploading it all with a different distributor who has today approved my upload.

In terms of my album History Lessons, I know that I have made a lot of songs about my ex-girlfriends, but this time I’m going to rap about something else. After the last song, which landed me in a U.K. court, I’ve had to rethink my attitude towards music and what can and can’t be said on a song. I hope free-speech returns to the U.K. one day but for now, I’m just going to take the necessary measures to avoid being taken back to court.

I’m going to start rewriting the lyrics to the album shortly. You can follow my progress by subscribing to this news feed or signing up as a member of this website. I pretty much only use this website now and if you want to chat I’m always available here.

So, you want to be an Author?

I have been writing for a little under a decade now. I’ve had ups and downs throughout my years of writing and I thought I’d share some of these with you all.

The most important step to being a writer is to read as much as you can from already published authors. This will help you understand how to write.

Before I started writing I had only one book that I could reference my writing to and that was the Holy Bible (I was writing The Righteous Jardacia after all). After that I continued to write in the same way, and having no other reference points, it wasn’t received well by my readers.

After a few years of writing I was becoming annoyed in my ability to write. I had good ideas and an excellent imagination, it just wasn’t translating to my work. I started reading novels by already published authors. I was interested in gaming, so naturally I found books that span off from some of the games I used to play.

I also used to rush writing and publish before I had even had a chance to proofread and edit. This is probably the most harmful thing I did, because it makes all of your work questionable before the reader has a chance to see it. I still make the mistake of publishing unfinished works to this day, and I still look like an idiot when I do it.

Usually, once I had completed a novel or short story, I’d advertise it. This, however, is a huge mistake if you are paying for it. Advertisements online are hot spots for trolls. What I have done instead of paying to be humiliated by online trolls is to post links to my novel in groups and forums online. This has generated more interest for me.

I made a number of my works available for free on Google Books, Amazon and a few others. This helped introduce my writing to new readers who were more inclined to leave a review. Who doesn’t like free stuff?

Another way I introduced readers to my work was to write about something people were already fans of. Fan Fictions is a great way to do this. My book, Xena: Warrior Princess was a complete success with over 5 thousand readers and a fair amount of 5 star reviews.

Today, I don’t advertise my work, yet it still sells. Once you gain a few fans of your work, it just snowballs into something huge.
